We are on the B6277, 7 miles south of Alston between there and Middleton in Teesdale which is 15 miles away. There is parking on the east side of the road. Please avoid parking on the west (right when going up the hill) of the road. Cars parked on the west risk slipping into the ditch or blocking access for the snowplough

ROAD CONDITIONS

In heavy or wind driven snow approach (and escape!) roads may be  rapidly blocked. Particularly susceptible are the Penrith to Alston (Hartside A686) road and the Middleton to Alston road.
